This is a national organization that offers scholarships to academically talented students. This club also encourages students to become involved n school and community activities. This is open to all students who wish to grow in their Christian life. Members will strive to know more about Jesus Christ and to reach out to their school and community. FUTURE TEACHERS OF AMERICA (FTA) REQUIREMENTS FOR HOLDING OFFICE In order for any person to hold office in any club or class, he or she must meet the following requirements: A. Have an average grade of 80 or above for the preceding year with no failing average for either semester the previous year. The only exception is if a class is retaken and passed in summer school. B. Students must be enrolled at Copper Basin High School for one (1) semester before they can be eligible. C. Have an approved conduct and attendance record, which will be determined by the school administration. D. It is strongly recommended that the student have prior approval of the club sponsor if he/she wishes to hold more than two offices. E. Class officers will be nominated following a campaign for each office. Nomination of officers and campaign committees as well as campaign activities will be conducted as specified by the faculty sponsors in charge of class elections. |
