ADVANCE IN REGIONAL PLAY

The Copper Basin Lady Cougars have advanced to the regionals by finishing as district runner up last week. The Lady Cougars led by Coach Mac managed to knock off Tennessee Temple and Silverdalebefore falling to CSAS in the district championship game.

The first regional playoff game found the Lady Cougars coming out strong against Van Buren County.  The girls won at home beating Van Buren 50-38. 

Tonight the Lady Cougars travel to play Marion County at host Signal Mountain.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 pm.

COPPER BASIN BASEBALL PREVIEW

Baseball practice is underway. Any student wishing to play, come by the gym and talk to Coach Rollins. The Cougars expect to have a great season this year with returning seniors: Zach White, Centerfield; Eric Sisson, Leftfield/Pitcher; Joey Buchanan, Shortstop/Pitcher; Alex Townshend, Outfield; and Daniel Padgett, Right field. The Cougars open the season on March 14th at Hamilton Heights.
